Explore Santorini

An immense volcanic eruption over three and half thousand years ago, around 1645 BC, formed what are now Santorini’s beautiful trademarks: striking cliffs and dramatic coasts. Some say that this was the eruption that led to the demise of the lost city of Atlantis. True or not, Santorini is bathed in history, and Vedema Resort has the distinct advantage of being right in the middle of it all. From Vedema, venture out to explore the black beaches of Perivolos, the ancient Minoan city of Akrotiri or the majestic hot springs of Thirasia.
SPG Member Evgenia, as a proud local from Santorini, knows all secret treasures and hidden gems of the island. Read the Story at journeygreece.com

The perfect day in a magical destination

A fire harvest the stone

Discover "The Less Photographed Side of Santorini". The concept of this project was to bring into surface and reveal a different face of Santorini, its hidden aspects and less known parts. The idea was to turn our eyes away from the famous caldera of the island, one of the most breathtaking and photographed parts of the world, and investigate the peculiarities, the secrets and the mysteries of the landscape that spreads towards the eastern part of the island. Explore Santorini's renowned vineyards

There are many wineries to visit on the island, as Santorini has a great reputation on wine production, dating from the ancient times. You could have a wine-tour experience, by visiting inside one of the wineries and learn more about product methods used and may taste a glass of wine as well. If wine is your passion, join us in a wine tasting experience. The old setting of Canava Wine Cellar serves as delightful backdrop for our sunset wine ceremony. The unforgettable tasting of 7 exquisite indigenous wines with an excellent variety of Greek cheeses and crackers will evoke the spirit of Santorini and offer the outmost satisfaction.

Horseback Riding
Start the day riding to the top once again, an early start if you don’t want to find crowds along the beach at Monolithos. If the full two-and-a-half hour ride seems a little too much for you, ask to do the short ride of just an hour to the nearby beach at Exo Gonia. After your morning dash, visit Panagia Episkopi, the most important Byzantine monument on the island. A swim at Kamari and as soon as the sun begins to go down, a walk round Messa Gonia.
